Sustainability

Timber

All our wooden volumes are made from birch plywood. We chose birch ply for its excellent strength, durability and warping resistance, to ensure the long life of our volumes and maximise reusability. Birch is also faster growing than other hardwoods meaning less disruption to forestry ecosystems over time.

Our waste timber is repurposed for heat generation, building maintenance and repairs.

Texture Coating

Our texture coating is made from 60% recycled industrial material. It’s highly durable making it ideal for long-term reusability. We are also looking into offering a recoating service to ensure even longer-term reusability.

Workshop

Our workshop is powered by electricity from a green energy provider that invests in renewable energy generators around the UK and abroad.

We plan to install solar panels on our factory roof. This would make a substantial contribution to powering our production machinery. Any surplus energy during down times can then be fed back into the grid to provide green energy for other users.

All of our packaging is plastic free.  

Nature is important to us. We aim to minimise our environmental impact by following these steps.

• Our coating is made from 60% recycled materials.
• We repurpose our waste timber for heat generation.
• We make sure our energy supplies are from mostly renewable sources.
• We have steps in place to kit our factory with solar panels and battery storage to generate enough energy to keep most of our production off grid.
